U.S. Representative Jaime Herrera Beutler shared today that she has earned the “Guardian of Small Business Award” from the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) based on her strong voting record in favor of small business in the 115th Congress.

Jaime’s score and the criteria NFIB used to determine the ratings are available here. The NFIB is the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization with 300,000 small business members nationwide and 7,000 in Washington state. Two-thirds of all private-sector jobs are created by small businesses.

“From craft breweries to tech startups, Southwest Washington boasts some of the most innovative and unique small businesses that fuel our economy here,” Jaime said. “Whether it’s supporting the recent 20% tax savings for small businesses, cutting unnecessary regulations that mire employers from growing their operations, or helping preserve quality health care plans, I’m proud to stand up for small businesses and the contribution they make to Southwest Washington communities.”
