Jaime Herrera Beutler announced today that she will be hosting her fifth annual Southwest Washington Jobs Fair on Monday, June 8. She is also hosting a job hunting workshop on Tuesday, June 2, to provide resume, interview and job search tips for attendees.
Both events are free to all Southwest Washington residents. The Jobs Fair will include employers from a variety of industries seeking qualified candidates. Employers who are interested in participating are encouraged to contact Pam Peiper in Jaime’s Vancouver office at (360) 695-6292.
The June 2 job hunting workshop will include local human resource specialists. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a panel discussion as well as individual one-on-one counseling. The panel will discuss resume building, interviewing skills, networking, and other important aspects of the job-seeking process.
“Southwest Washington is a wonderful place and I want to make sure that residents can find good, family wage jobs right here at home,” said Jaime. “I’m pleased to host my fifth annual Jobs Fair where people can find a job, or at least build the skills and contacts to help them land one soon. My legislative priorities in congress will remain on allowing jobs in our region to grow by reducing burdensome regulations that restrict businesses’ ability to create more opportunities in our local economy.”
